With regards to the worry about having no money, I believe you should be receiving universal credit. It allows you to work part time hours and tops you up if you earn less than if you did full time hours. It also supports you while you are in between jobs as you sometimes are. When care home reduced you to 9hrs universal credit would have paid you more each week to top you up. It is an ongoing claim so you only need apply once and they adjust accordingly. You can still look for full time, but if it doesn't work out you will still have money coming in.
Universal credit is nothing to do with your mum or dad's earnings as you are adult in own right.
Apply for it.
It may be one less thing to worry about
My son is 23 and at full time college but gets Universal Credit because he an adult in own right and needs money to live.
My friend who is autistic and very similar to you is on UC also and she is supply teacher but when she gets no work one week Universal credit pay her more. Then when she works full weeks they may not pay her anything- it all gets adjusted and she doesn't need to worry or do anything. She has own house and two children.
It was an advisor at job centre. I applied for universal credit online but last time they said I wasn't entitled as care home told them I was earning £1300 which I wasn't. Now I lost my job at care home I've opened a new claim they said speak to care home incase they owe money. I closed last time when I worked at HB.
The Universal Credit might even back date money if you put down every job you have had in last couple of years and you give information about home bargains, care home, warehouse, cleaning company hours which changed to Laundry hours.
Let them know all the dates and times you were out of work between jobs.
