Mechanics AS Level

Did anyone else take the Mechanics 1 AS Level exam today (3/6/03), what did you think? I'm usually good at maths but I think I messed up, a D probably - I'll have to re-take.

I know I'm diverging from the subject, but I didn't know there was a mechanics exam! There obviously is, if you took it, but I can't find it on any of my sheets. I've done "Pure Mathematics 1" and I will do "Probability and Statistics" tomorrow, and I took AS mechanics lessons a few months ago...should I be starting to worry, or is this a different exam board thing? (Sorry about wrecking your thread.)

The AS level maths course is broken into LOADS of modules, Pure 1,2,3,4,5 and 6, Mechanics 1 and 2, Stats 1 and 2 and DDM (Discrete and Disscision Making) 1 and 2. To get the AS level you have to do 3 (6 for a full A Level). I'm doing, like u, pure 1 (the trapezium question was a bit of a killer!), mech 1 and stats 1 tommorow morning. Some of my friends did DDM which u mite have, if not I wouldn't wiorry - im sure ur teachers would tell u if u had an exam. Anyway, I'm off to do some more revision, I have computing tomorrow afternoon then physics the day after - then it's out on friday to get drunk cos they'll all be over!!!!!

Thanks, paulobrad. I suppose there's always a chance of catching mechanics in the retakes if I miss it first time. If I have it I'll try to remember to get back to this thread.

Just sat the statistics 1 paper - went really well (better then mechanics). I wasn't sure about a few of the ones about the number plate and the very last hyposthesis testing question. Other than that I'm feeling quite happy - better get some revision in for the computing exam now.
