hi dreaming,
my son has a LITEONE DVD RECORDER.
and it is simpe to use, he paid 139 for it ,but it also has a hard drive.makes recording childs play.
HOPE THIIS HELPS.
GOOD LUCK.

Yeah! I'd agree with sunnyday.

I have just bought a Liteon DVD recorder with hard drive so I can record just like the old VHS Video recorder only without the tape cassette.

Depending on the size of hard drive determins the price. Mine cost 180 with a 300 hour recording time.

So if you want to record something straight from the TV, then want to keep it, you can 'burn' it to DVD disc.

Dead easy to use to!

Thank you both
be wary of the lowest priced ones (esp. sub 150 quid or so). whilst they may offer great features, the build design is awful. I repair this sort of thing daily, and you tend to find the power supplies get hot due to lack of airflow and the use of sub standard components. You get what you pay for!
