OMG YES !! joking ...........wouldnt think so.
This very question was the subject of a Mythbusters episode a while back here in the U.S. Using even higher voltage (120), they found that nothing would occur. They did find that if the person taking the whizz on the open line was also standing in about an inch of water, the person could suffer a severe shock though...
I had the misfortune of doing so in my younger days - it does tingle a bit.
Electrified fences typically have a shock potential of several thousand volts

I tested a fence once to see if it was energized by touching it with a blade of grass and there was absolutely no question in my mind that indeed it was. Dont think Id consider a **** test for less then a pound per volt and then only after a considerable supply of Guinness courage.
lol mibn my sister did the exact same thing when we were kids lol, she thought she wouldn't get a shock if she touched it with a blade of grass, boy was she wrong! lol
Yeah I saw that programme and they showed that the tream of pee is never contiuous, so doesn't provide a route for the electricity.

Just don't stand too close Big Boy!
Surely having a woodchopper would have insulated you, Woodchopper?
get a few mates together, all wear wellies except the last one. ( wet trainers work ) . hold hands and then first one have a grab of the fence. i did it to my mates as a kid an the last one nearly sh$t himself. everyone gets a belt but the last one seems to get it worst!! don't know why.
markya He is the one earthing the volts and will it hurt ? try it and don't cry YES 15-18000 volts shakes things up a bit.
used to be a holiday pastime...holding on to electric fences. You don't need to be wearing anything special on your feet if you make a chain the last person always gets the bigger shock.

the current in these fences is pulsed so as not to injure the livestock ....if you hold on for a while you can actually sense when the next pulse will occur.
