Can you "catch" a light wave, or a photon, with intentions of seeing (examining) its contents (aside from the fact that contemporary science defines a photon as a form of energy - invisible, massless, etc)? In other words, can break down energy?
Well, if you are to believe the current postulate that light shows properties of both waves and particles., the answer is Yes in the case of "catch it" (the photovoltaic effect) and no in the case of a wave (diffraction and reflection)
