I'm sorry if this is the wrong section but I can't think where else to ask.

How do I get a picture to accompany my posts as many ABers have? I have plenty of photos saved on my computer. I've looked for how to do this on the Answerbank Home Page and My Profile but no luck there. Perhaps I've missed something straightforward.

Thanks in anticipation.

I think this is the link you need to put your avatar on AB, you need to use your usual e-mail address and the name you use to log in. If no luck try the Editors link. I've almost forgotton how to do it.

Thank you both. Now I've also discovered what an avatar is! I've seen the word before but never knew what it was. I've just registered with gravatar so I'm off now to the email they sent.
Question Author
Just checking to see if my avatar is working.
Question Author
No - it's not. Back to the Gravatar site then.
give it time, they sometimes take a while to come up. You might need to refresh occasionally as well.
either press Ctrl & F5 or switch off/on pc to reset itself.
The usual problem that people have with getting their avatar to show up is that they enter the wrong email address on the Gravatar site. It MUST be the SAME email address which you used to sign up with the Answerbank. (If you've forgotten which address you used, click on 'My Profile' and then 'Edit User Details').

Well, I hadn't clicked the Avatar Active box in the Answerbank Profile page! I had almost given up! Thanks everyone.

PS. I took this at the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden in March.
Very nice, Andy, but we need to click on your avatar (to bring up your profile, together with a larger version of your chosen picture) in order to be able to see it properly.

Yes - it's a bit small Chris. I'll change it for something better soon.
