When we speak French for example we are taught to speak in a French accent so how come the French don't speak English with an English accent?

I ask from genuine curiosity as I may purchase the rosetta stone language course.

J'sais pas. Je sais bien qu'il n'y a pas de chaises dans les églises orthodoxes, mais Cuba, c'est un pays catholique, quand- même communiste.

Well - only that it might be the same reason behind it - they didn't use chairs here until sitting down became the polite thing to do. The most exuberant the worship, the more space you need, the less need to confine yourself to pews and aisles.

Boxtops, "moyen" as an adjective means "middle" or "average", and as a noun means "method" or "means"...

Je n'ai pas le moyen de payer - I don't have the means to pay.
La chose moyenne - the average thing.
