calmck. They want hospital corners !

I mean they MAY want ...

Question Author

I don't think it's the same

I would take a few photos or a video of the way they want them done.

Abbey, please don't worry about things so much  ...  you are bound to have someone with you to show you the way they prefer beds to be made.  Everything's a learning curve when you start on a trial period/work etc.  Take it in your stride.

Hospital corners aren't terribly difficult. You could practice doing them. Just take your time.

if its in peoples houses, it'l most likely e changing the duvet and fitted sheets

Question Author

Hmm not sure it will be for more

They will tell you how they want the beds made.

When I was a teenager I worked in a care home - and each resident liked their beds made up in different ways.

You soon learnt who liked what.

Abbey, stop worrying.  You're getting yourself into a pickle for nothing.  Just go and show a bit of enthusiasm.  Good luck.

Do not worry, i am sure it will be just fine. Be willing to learn, do a good job, and your work will be noticed.

Abbey, There may be not much bedmaking to do. Probably the jobs will be just cleaning (which you like) or in an office (obviously no beds 🤣 )

Stop worrying please. I am sure it will be fine.

Seems silly to be going to a job miles away over one on my door step

Is the new job miles away? Did you know that when you applied?

depends what you value most. No time spent commuting? Take the job next door. But if the pay, conditions, workplace or the job itself are your main concern, you'll have to weigh up the pleasures against the pains, including commuting time.

Question Author

It just one train outside train station I've seen it before outside the station. Because this one is more hours.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say or ask Abbey. Which job are you talking about?

Question Author

The one im going for a trial for on Wednesday is a long way but one train and outside the station and more hours but my current one is on my doorstep with not enough hours just shame I can't afford to keep just the care home.

Look forward not back.
