What Do I Do If My Work Don't Reply?

I've sent the care home an email asking if I can change my days as my new job days were only available Monday yo Wednesday. What do I do they haven't replied to my email.

I've been told otherwise I got 2 options go the sick until I'm comfortable in the new job ir resign

If you went off sick now the current carehpme would know what you're up to and will dismiss you I'm sure. So let's hope the new job works out.

I finally got though to them they said I got options to take further action like get HR involved as I think it something personal why they won't change my days.

Abbey, you are being unreasonable - expecting the care home to change your hours.  They reduced your hours as you were not doing very well on the job.  

You are going to end up with no job and a history of being a bad employee. 

You don't seem to want to try hard to fit in with what an employer needs, it is all about your needs.  If you don't get on well with the new employer they will cease your employment.

The job at the dentist was a great chance for you to show that you can work as part of a team and are willing to learn. 

B&M stores could have worked out if you gave it a chance.

Good luck with that or with trying the sickness route. I think you might get your way though- they'll probably happily help you pack your stuff and show you where the door is, so problem solved

I went in a Home Bargains today- the staff seemed friendly, helpful and happy.

The woman off work for ten weeks would have been submitting evidence of her being unfit for her work.

 

You can self-certify for the first seven days of sickness but would need to provide certificates after that period so how would you do that?

Abbey, when you were let go from the warehouse and when your hours at the care home were cut so drastically, did you stop to think, 'Gosh, I'll need to do better than this if I want to stay in a job'?

They'll realise you've gone off 'sick' just because you didn't get your way. But as I say, problem solved. But don't expect a good reference- you may run out of employers who would recommend you

Abbey, if the care home bosses are questioned they are likely to say...

We cut this employee's hours as we felt she couldn't cope with the pressure. A month or so later, she asked for her hours back and we still felt she couldn't cope. This employee sought and got another job, and told the new employer that she could start on XXth November even though the new job would clash with her shifts here. We are  unable to alter her days and  hours here as we know she is keen to find full-time work... elsewhere.

Yes but the warehouse got rid and bought a new employee back and I used every bit of blood sweat and tears in both jobs. I kept emailing the care home and no response so I had to call them so now I got to say I can only work Fridays. I think the supervisor has been off with me lately don't know what has changed since I been off.

Your employers consistently seem to have a different view of your contribution than you do.  I'm sure they can't all be wrong
