Prudie/  What do you have in mind as realistic targets?

Prudie, I think abbey would struggle with the paperwork if self employed. She would also have to prove she can be reliable

How is it 9 months if you only started in April?

Hazlinny it's hard to say without being mean and inappropriate. It should be obvious to anyone who's followed Abbey's AB journey, she clearly has some intellectual difficulties, how else does one say it? I just think it's ultimately unfair to suggest jobs for her that are way beyond her capabilities. I am always surprised that the parents haven't got more involved with what's available to help those in abbey's situation.

Prudie I agree, she has not had an assessment since she was 5, does not have a 'adult care worker, is not getting any help for her difficulties.

Can't remember when but Abbey was employed as a dental receptionist and seemed to enjoy the work .. problem was, as is often the case, she didn't get on with management/colleagues.
I think whatever job Abbey attempts, there will be problems mostly of her own making.

I see to remember the dental receptionist was very short lived and doubt if the reason was not getting on with her boss. I won't add anymore, let her continue asking these questions, it's the interaction she wants, not the solution.

Abbey doesn't seem to have a problem getting jobs.  It's keeping jobs that is the issue.

She is never going to find a job where she feels appreciated because she is not willing to work hard and try and get on with her colleagues.

If she isn't up to the job of course her supervisors may nag her to get the work done.

I haven't got a problem with a supervisor nagging me to get the work the one in the care home didn't even say she thought I was struggling.

Abbey, I wouldn't get too bogged down in specific details but  I think it'd be fair to say that none of the jobs you've had in the last couple of years have worked out well?

Question Author

No so I know Receptionist is not for me.

Abbey, why don't you consider a morning job with more hours?

I would love to answer some of Abbeys postings, but i wont.

Scorpio was February

Abbey you only completed your trial at the beginning of April (the 4th you told us) then you started 2 weeks later (you told us) so that is 6 months not 9 months.

Question Author

Got offered the job in February but didn't leave my other until April

I don't want to be pedantic but you have only been at selco for 6 months not 9 regardless of when they offered you the job

Question Author

Yeah February

Question Author

I had 2 at first but full time one came up in April
