I am desperately trying to change my career. I am a qualified nurse, I don't have a degree. Completely disillusioned by the health service and feel trapped!!!!
Has anyone out there left nursing and if so what are you doing now? Was it an easy move? Do you regret it?

I left nursing just over 10 years ago, for the same reasons as you. (it must be even worse now!). I easily got a job as a personnel officer, and have since worked my way up to HR Manager. Employers like to employ ex nurses, so I don't think you would have a problem finding employment.

I dont regret leaving on tiny bit, Xmas off, all bank holidays off, more pay, WONDERFUL.

If you wish to stay in a medically related job, how about a drug company rep.
