what is an enhanced disclosure?

just been applying for some jobs lately and some of them have said they will require an enhanced disclosure - some are paid by the employer and some have to be paid by the applicant. What is this?

Enhanced Disclosure contains all conviction information, spent and unspent, and any other non conviction information considered to be relevant by the police or other Government bodies.

I think it's a more indepth C.R.B check. I had one done when I used to work with children at a primary school club.

Yeah mine says I'm safe to work with children, the elderly and vulnerable people - good to know eh?!
