Council sign on my drainpipe...

My property is an end terrace on a T-junction (side of the house on the side street). The council have recently attached a flimsy sign to my drainpipe at the side of the house (stating that it is no parking for refuse collections). I'm assuming that being my property I can remove it without any hassle, or can I? And does the council have any rights to attach signs etc to your property? Thanks

You obviously don't realise the trauma in having the coucil stick something on your downspout.

I don't see how someone can put something on your property without consent.
How dare they !
Could you stick a sign on the council offices with authority.
