I need to find a criminal lawyer....I can look on line but any tips for what I should be looking for would be appreciated. It regards fraud/theft by an employee. Thank you.
You need one who has the Criminal Litigation accreditation; the firm has the blue logo with "Criminal Litigation" on its advertisements and business headings. The Law Society don't specifically say so on their site, but I'm sure if you ring them , they can save time by saying which firms have that accreditation in your area. It means that practitioners have exceptionally high standards and experience in criminal law.
If you are considering taking disciplinary action against the employee, it is a civil matter and subject to employment law (i.e. regarding whether you take action that could lead to dismissal).
The criminal angle is a matter for the police to investigate, with people in your business involved as a potential witnesses.
