I was just reading an article just now about an elderly lady who wet herself at a McDonald's because an employee would not allow her access to the restroom facilities. Here's my question-let's say a person was in this lady's predicament, having to go super bad and they simply told the employee "f-ck you, I'm going into the restroom" and shoved their way in if necessary. Would there be legal repercussions for this? Would the fact that you were on the verge of having an accident be a legal defense against any charges pertaining to this?

My answer to your question is that in the UK and in theory, yes I think there could be legal repercussions (assault) and no I don't think that being on the verge of wetting yourself would be a defence. BUT in this case, old frail lady and young strong McD's employee? I am not sure it would hit court. have you got a link to the article?

Lot's about McDonald's restroom use in Quora but it's all arguments about which restroom Transgender/Gay/Lesbian people should use .
Why is it that so many people who serve you are dim Mikey? Especially if they are female?
Swansea Council have managed to keep all our Libraries open, so I suppose may be more important. The good thing is that the village Library lets people use the toilet if asked to.
Our library is open too - and thriving.

Very clearly you dont know the UK very well! They have been there for a while, however, I did see one damaged a while back but was soon repaired. I live in a small Welsh town, and to be honest the only sign of "junkies" in the area is the sharps disposal bin.
I am glad for you Naomi, but many Councils have shut their Libraries, although I am unsure if its a political issue, nor should it be.
Mikey, //I am unsure if its a political issue, nor should it be. //

It would be if it suited your purpose.
I live in the "Town of books" and the council is trying to close our library, under fierce opposition I may add!

....but in UK its almost impossible to find a loo, especially here in the capital.

Unless you live in Scotland where we still allow for natural bodily functions and don't make a song and dance about folk using them.

I'm a lapsed member of Quora, it's just a collection of late-night AB questions rolled into one and an indication of low educational standards in the land of the free.
Look at page 1 mikey ... just because you haven't physically typed 'politics' doesn't mean you haven't mentioned politics.
I don't mind which council runs the loos my wees are non-politically motivated ! ;0)
What was wrong with the deleted post?
I think just because it's in Law and not CB, lb.
so it was a KFC in Oz and the lady was out with a carer...... I kind of read a subtext that the lady had some kind of cognitive issue. If this is the case I would suggest that the carer was taking insufficient care. Yes it was unkind of the KFC employee but (surprise surprise) I don't think the Mail are telling the whole story.
