Withdrawing A Statement
I need some advice on how I actually withdraw a statement. Can I just go to the police station and make a second statement.

As you and I know Trident are a specialist unit of the Met who handle only the most serious gun, gang, drugs, knife crime in London. Luckily they also run a very robust and efficient witness protection program specifically for situations such as this.
I'll say it....again....
The question is about withdrawing a statement; it could be about 'anything' and the procedure is the same.
Sam77 now knows how to do this and will be advised of the options/consequences, etc....etc.... of her doing so at the time.
Particularly by the professional people dealing with this matter.

AB actually tells you not to take advice on here in place of proper advice from a lawyer, in many cases I just tell people to get a lawyer.
In this case a lawyer would have said exactly the same, particularly the advice to use the witness protection scheme. But it would have taken a lot more time to consult a lawyer.
