Abit of an odd question here but i need some info as its driving me insane. My fiance who i live with was accused yesterday of stealing my sisters jeans. Both are 100% convinced that they belong to eachother, so my sister called the police.
Neither of them have receipts or anything like that, and the police are due at my house tomorrow.
What im wondering is whats the procedure for something like this? How are the police supposed to be able to tell who they belong to? And whats the charge if they are stolen??
Any info would be great !

Crunchything didn't come back to report what took place on the arrival of the police. She probably got arrested too...
The police come out for a lot less....believe me. My mates GF is nuts and has phoned the police on me 3 times now...pmsl. The last time they came round was 6am on a Saturday morning...

They haven't charged her with wasting police time.
There are a few reasons why you never see the Police patrolling anymore. One of those reasons is because of people ringing the police with nonsense like this.

sorry been kinda busy, my sister didnt even turn up when the police got here. As far as i can tell they are gonna charge her with wasting time, not that i blame them it was a stupid arguement.
Crunchy - I can't say I'm sorry if someone gets taken to task about this - we moan at the police if they don't turn up to events when people are prowling around our houses at night in a threatening manner, then find they have been called out to disputes over clothing. I really do think this whole thing is a waste of police time, I wonder if someone will get charged with the cost of the time it took to write it all up and make a file and come round - etc.
