please help wrongly accused
74 Answers
My so called friend lost her bank card and apparently 15 mins after she left me money was withdrawn and she has accused me.
She said the police are involved and I'm petrified. I live with my parents and do not want police at my door.
I dont know what to do can anyone help
is there any way I can find out if she has gone to the police and contact them myself?

Remember the advert - too good to hurry mints. Incidentally I have been wrongly accused myself - years ago - and thank goodness was absolved of all blame,so know what it is like. Personally I was in floods of tears all the time, so would not have been able to hide anything from anybody.

Relax Wrongly, the police wont even bother wasting their time on such a trivial matter, honestly, listen to what others have writted, the likes of EDDIE are right. What sum of money was withdrawn ? If your friend is that bothered about it she would have not hesitated in reporting this to her bank to sort out. Some friend she is, you dont need friends like this in your life that make you feel like this. Please dont worry. It will be okay.
That is irrelevant weather you started to buy things or not...does not prove anything. I can tell you are still worrying, please dont, not worth it, the police have better things to do, just get on with your own life and keep busy try not to dwell on this, nothing will happen and tell your friend to get lost if she tried to contact you again over this.
Sounds like people are winding you up, wrongly, because they know it will get to you. Have you shared your worries with your mum or dad yet? As Eddie says, there is no proof, and the cctv cameras on the cashpoint would show exactly who took the money out, if it EVER comes to it. You know you didn't do it - you are innocent, so even if the police did knock, you didn't do it. They have to prove it, not you prove you didn't.
I think she is winding me up as I said to my ex she is in a relationship and also having a affair, maybe she gave him money and when her partner questioned it she made out her card was lost. Still it is a bit of a worry.
No I have not told my parents and I wont.

atm manchine cameras will show who used the card...and also sometimes the statements show usage well after the actual time - i assume she has checked online...so it doesnt mean its been used 15 mins later...
you will be fine if you have done nothing wrong...the police wonbt do anythign to you without proof..
