I have met many famous people in my life but none so famous as me! Seriously though I have met Peter Cunnah, Roger McGough, Jo Brand, Roy Castle, Barbara Castle, The Queen and Prince Phillip, Princess Anne, Nigel Mansell, Adam Faith, Leo McKern, Chesney Hawkes, Jimmy Cricker, Sue Pollard, Leslie Grantham and many more who I will remember the minute I post this thread!

Can anyone here beat this number of celebs?

Chatted to Timothy Spall in our local last year... Spoke to Luke (or was it Matt) Goss when they were "famous" Was in the queue behind Minty (Eastenders & now call the midwif) in Iceland of all places). My brother knows Micha
I've met the following;

Politicians: Tony Blair, Sir John Osborne, Baroness Cox, Baroness Scott

Show business: Cliff Richard, Fish (ex Marillion), George Hamilton IV, Marti Caine, Martin Kelner

Film director: Ken Loach

Playwright: Dave Sheasby

Poet: Ted Hughes

Sport: Michael Vaughan (Cricket), David Lloyd (Cricket), Ken Barrington (Cricket), Gordon Banks (football), Jack Charlton (Football), Lawrie McMenemy (Football), Howard Wilkinson (Football), Seb Coe (Athletics), John Sherwood (athletics).

Those are just the ones I remember at the moment. (There will be loads more). There are other people who I've simply seen. e.g. Kylie Minogue was a passenger at the rail station I worked at, I've sat next to Paul Heiney on a train and Ian Lavender had beaten me in a race to get a cab on more than one occasion. Oh . . . and Delia Smith shops in our local Tesco!

Chris
Oops! I forgot about getting drunk with Bill Maynard ;-)
Yeah, Prince Naseem Hamed (boxer) bumped into him loads a times at a bistro in sheffield...Chris acabussi (athlete) and also my mate was chatting to me about her martial arts instructor hubby, who lived streets away from Amy Winehouse, he tried to get her to join his classes, but she didnt, but would always walk past drunk.
I served a Martini and lemonade to Miss Diane from Crossroads.

Is that impressive, or what?
2 more: Barry Twomlow (Darts), Bill Werbeniuk.
I once stayed in the same hotel as Rick Astley's parent's, does that count?
Delia in Tescos Chris? Doesn't she use Waitrose then?
Spoke to Timothy Spall one day last summer in our local pub...Spoke to Matt (or was it Luke) Goss from Bros years ago when they were famous..Was in the queue in Iceland (of all places) behind "Minty" from Stenders and now in Call the Midwife..My brother knows Michael Fassbender from when he was a barman in a pub my brother used and he always got free drinks off him! My brother also spoke to John Cleese in the street and asked him was it was like kissing Karen from "Will & Grace" and surprisingly he told him! My son in law met Ronan Keeting at work and got him to video a happy anniversary message to my daughter..And one time some friends and I were standing talking in a street in Soho and Dave Allen walked by and said "morning ladies" and smiled (ahh)
Snowdrop:
I'd save that one for inclusion in Chris Evans' 'Top Tenuous' slot if I were you ;-)

But you're reminded me that I went to school with Nik Kershaw!
Just remembered I saw Peter Mandelson in the park followed by a camera crew and I said "do you ever do any work" and needless to say he was faultlessly polite - Thats a politican for you...
And Cat Stevens was in my class at Primary School. His dad had a Greek restaurant just around the corner. He took us there once...
Met Dennis Lillee at our Cricket Club great speaker but told me to F-Off when I asked for an autograph.
I had a bit of a 'row' with Snow White at Eurodisney - does that count?
HopkirK;
Delia only has to go a mile or two to Tesco. It's around 16 miles from her home to the nearest Waitrose. However nobody ever seems to have seen her in the local Asda or the new Morrison's store which is near to her home. Perhaps she's getting backhanders from Tesco to be seen in there?
;-)
Shared my dooby with Whoopy Goldberg...she wandered over to the Billiard Room....at the Mount Nelson Hotel,in Cape Town...she came to meet Madiba..she is very charismatic,and smart..she love da "erb!
Nobody else could argue with Snow White, Sherrardk. Only you could do it!
(In French, perhaps?)
;-)
Not French Buenchico - a mix of protective mother and full-on, Valleys accent!
