Brucie's got his knighthood at last! About time too, if they can give one to Mick Jagger then Bruce should have got his years ago.

can't understand why it's taken this long, one of the biggest entertainers in the business, so well done to him..

Well said ttfn!
Whilst I am not in favour of bestowing high honours on public entertainers, as long as it is done then I think Bruce is a worthy recipient. I remember him hosting Sunday Night at the London Palladium when I was 10. I am now 62.
it was our family favourite, Sunday Night at The London Palladium, i remember him singing and dancing with Sammy Davis Jnr, and a host of other greats.
I appreciate and applaud Brucie for his efforts to promote family viewing and entertainment. He may a bit of a dinosaur but he is the last of a dying breed, imo.
I am sure the number of people who congratulate him will outweigh his detractors.

I'd rather people like Bruce get a knighthood than many folk who have and don't get me started on 'Lord' Coe! or 'Lord' Prescott!!!
Prescott should be in the Tower of London.
Well done Brucie...as a golfer I have come across him at lots of pro-ams over the years..always a delight and very friendly..unlike some who are cantankerous off screen ! (did I spell that right ?)
At long last, love him or hate him, the man "in charge" of "generations" of shows on British television over the years has at last earned his "Brucie Bonus", "Didn't He Do Well"!
Excellent news.

Some younger folk will only know him as an 'old fogey' and for Strictly. What isn't realised is that he was absolutely brilliant in his younger days, is multitalented and was about the most popular person on TV.

Well done Brucie!!
still no Dame Petula Clark
Well deserved honour for Brucie. Now I would like to see our other national treasure, Babs windsor get made a dame!
bobbie22 - I don't think a gangster's moll is likely to get a gong anytime soon.

↑ PMSL, LOL LOL!
I cannot stand Barbara Windsor, I don't think she has any talent whatsoever.
A big well done to him, an all round entertainer who doesn't take himself too seriously which makes him funny.

A big thumbs up for him, pleased he got a knighthood I am surprised he hadn't already got one.
Please don't give any awards to that loud mouth Babs Windsor, one time gangsters wife, girl friend, can't remember which, not a good actress, if she hadn't landed the part in EE, would have disappeared long ago.
I don't care for all this knighthood Sugar, but surely Seb Coe is as deserving as most?
