I wasn't sure about the first episode but persevered and then was thoroughly hooked! Last episode was brilliant. Love James Purefoy and quite honestly I reckon it would make a great series but weekly, not every night. Do ABers agree?

i liked until the end. I enjoyed the manchester detective's character very much and don't think it would be the same without him. I wouldn't have killed him off, but paired up him and travers! They could have done all manner of dirty dealings between them.
I did think the last episode was flawed though. There's no way he could have found that laptop, or even know what was on it. ridiculous. Children may have fallen for such a weak end, but not me.
Also, there was no closure with the detective's poor wife. Was she done for murder or not? Annoying that we weren't told.
Sorry quizzy, overall, a great cast but let down at the end.
I agree. Too many loose ends........
don't loose ends usually mean another series!
I loved it. Wish there was more! Charlie Creed-Miles and James Purefoy were both brilliant. Do you think Mrs Travers guessed Will had killed the animal rights guy?
I thoroughly enjoyed but got a shock when the detective died. Then I thought, oh good Travers is going to get away with it. Ends don't always have to be tied up, you could make your own theory as to what was going to happen in the future.
I think his wife did guess it was him.
I thought it was a very entertaining series. The police detective was a nasty piece of work and I'm glad he got his just desserts!
I've only watched the first one so far - takes too much concentration for my liking!
