I love it and I loved The Is England '86, which went before.
Its the first thing in ages which has kept me interested from start to finish ( I usual surf at the same time as watching TV but not through this)
Its moving and dark, but funny too. Brilliant acting and well written. I wish it was longer than 3 episodes.

The only downside with the whole TIE series is the fact that Mr Meadows is years behind in the terms of fashion.
People wearing Harringtons in 1988? 1988 was the start of the whole acid house rave thing. Why was the trailer to TIE 88 featuring a song that charted in 1984?
If he is going to persist in putting years in the title then he needs to research it a bit better.
I also feel he would have been better making TIE 86 & 88 films - i.e. 90 mins long instead of a long slow build up
