Why, oh why do all soaps/programmes show people giving birth in five minutes flat!! It really, really annoys me!!!

Totally agree! If only it were that easy. The babies also come out clean & pink. this one even had a pink blanket ready to be wrapped in.

I managed to have one baby with my trousers still on - though I do agree that it's all a bit daft.

It wasn't that, that bothered me, more the fact that Kirsty hardly broke into a sweat despite all the groaning !

Its because they use the hot water and towel routine. They say to the mother if its not here in 5 mins this soaking hot towel goes up your kilt !

Yes but they could show her in labour and keep going back to it, would be far more realistic.

Why on earth does it annoy you? The quicker the better as far as I'm concerned so they can get on with the storyline. I don't want to see her in labour for hours and hours - how boring !

oh I don't know chapta, they could have let her have an excruciating week long labour and kept on popping in to see how she was doing. ;)

On reflection, I suppose a long, excruciating labour would serve nasty Kirsty right (lol).

It annoys me too! But being a soap they cannot be too realistic I suppose.
I was in labour for over 12 hours!!! grrrr!
