Agree with the poster who said just be yourself at the audition, but don't forget they are looking for people who are a bit outgoing. The couple who 'won' our audition didn't get asked back as they were so quiet, so make sure you natter and make inappropriate jokes!! I'm on with my brother during this coming week.
My hubby & I were the team and surprised to get a cos trophy each although if you go on with a friend for example, you'd expect one each. We have by the TV so can see it every time we watch the show & the other in the 'office' as a paperweight. They are about 4" hign and come in a lovely box (which I took into school for the children to use in box modelling). We won just £5000 and we each received a cheque (again we were surprised). Alexander & Richard were very friendly & personable you would imagine unlike Anne Robinson who didn't speak or look at anybody when I was on The Weakest Link!x
We were both surprised (hubby & I) to receive a coveted pointess trophy each although if I had gone on the programme with my sister for example, we would have wanted one each! One is positioned next to the telly so we can see it when we watch the show & the other is acting as a paperweight. They are about 4" tall & come in a nice box each. We won £5250 & each received a cheque for £2750 each - again we assumed we would get one cheque to share. Alexander & Richard were delightful, very friendly & personable & we had a lot of laughs during the recording, cannot say the same for Anne Robinson when I was on TWL - she was a right miserable so-and-so!
Sorry had a couple of drinks last night & didn't realise I had posted an answer twice ...... note to self! It was £5250 and we chose the category 'words'. We had to find words ending in 'tend'. We had a discussion, came up with extend and then, as we'd seen this category before & had an idea where to go with it, came up with overextend and hyperextend, both of which were pointless - our first answer 'distend' went down to about 10 I think. It was all VERY exciting & my heart was going ten-to-the-dozen but great fun - we were on a high for weeks after!
