Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

that was a useful visit to the sales, I've got all next year's Christmas cards and wrapping paper at half price. Unfortunately I find it hard to plan for the presents themslves a year early. And I got home seconds before the monsoon arrived.

We invited Mr S's cousin and her youngest daughter for the evening .Her husband died a couple of years ago and we thought they might like some company.It was really nice talking about old times and looking at old photos. Thoroughly miserable cold and wet day here. I ventured out locally but the shelves were looking bare in places. I expect they'll be filling them with Easter eggs. I noticed my snowdrops were coming up the other day, a bit early for my garden.

I love the plaque shaney, very apt. I can't imagine us having another 100 homes, technology will probably have left me behind by then.
