James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

Crikey Neti .I shouldn't moan about another gloomy foggy day then.
At least it's still and chilly but the hair frizz was awful after I came back from the blood taking.
I'm sorry to hear your OH has to go through all this horrible stuff Jno.
I hope you can get some more info today on what's going on.

It's storming again. Sky tv not working cos of the rain. Haven't had time to get a new blind so rain will hammer that window but hopefully won't get in!! Winter is back with a vengeance. I had to hunt out a padded jacket as had put them all away!!!!!

Oh dear, your poor OH must be thoroughly pee'd off jno. I had to have a feeding tube via my nose for a while and that was awful enough, it took ages because I kept choking.

No sympathy necessary for me, thanks anyway, it was all my own fault, I need an inbuilt timer to make me stop overdoing things. I'm slowly gathering speed.
I hope I get a gold star at the dentist next time, I do love the electric toothbrush, I hope it's making a difference.

Well I thought our weather was bad, cold and wet again, but nothing as bad as you neti. Apparently we're going to be sizzling next week...oh no, I've got nothing to wear, better get busy clicking :)

Yes jno. Usually. We have a month of glorious weather and so think summer I here and pack away all winter things then bang it's back. I know it will happen but still dont expect it!
How is OH today?
Hija apartment is smashing, she's just filmed it for me. Beds in cupboards as is s studio. Nice kitchen, bathroom and lounge and a big balcony with very nice views.

OH has just had keyhole surgery to put in a temporary stent to open up the bile duct and return to fresh youthful skin instead of the Simpsons colour. Apparently they're still pondering what to do about the real problem with the duodenum but they want to make sure the jaundice clears up first. (Plus more keholes to take the stent back out in a few days.) Baby steps. But it's all been going on since October, so I hope it gets sorted soon and normal life can resume.

hello all and hope that its onwards and upwards for everyone from now on. I have had another weather migraine and the novelty has definitely worn off....back tomorrow.

looks like OH is in for another week or so while they wait to be sure the jaundice clears up completely. Apparently it fades quickly, stops for five days, then fades some more. Then they think about what to do with the worm hole that the duodenum has become. At least until then no more oscopies, scans, biopsies etc, just blood tests.

While you are taking care of OH, take care of yourself Jno. I have got post migraine balloon head. The novelty has also worn off that.

I'm with you woofy re migraine too...I'm sure I've had a silent one (all of the symptoms except the pain), queasy, blurry eyes, frozen to the bone etc. etc. Buffer it. I've just seen the day after described as 'the blahs' which sums it up perfectly. Not surprising we feel crip, it's dark, wet and the temperature is a RF of 1C....what the hell?!

OH still yellow and thoroughly exhausted, covered in cannulas and tubes and drips. Likely to be there for another couple of weeks at least. But a rest from tests except blood tests - and they're running out of veins. I sympathise, I seem to have only one vein that anyone's ever found, on the back of my left hand.

Hello!! Lovely and sunny but chilly and very windy.
You poor things with migraines and things. I was going to say everything that Shaney said jno. Poor OH.
We went out for lunch. I had delish confit of duck again.
Yes woofy I shall have to keep an eye out for Ronnie too as no idea when it's on. Nephew said he hopes Ronnie cooks mum's steamed jam pudding, hardly a showstopper! He has many strings to his now. Hairdresser. Dj. Antiques so guess he can cook. Apparently I gave him his love of music but I can't be blamed for his cooking.

Jno ,any problems I have are minor compared to what your OH is going through. It's very exhausting and worrying when a loved one is ill.
