Just watching the RBL Festival of rememberance. At the moment James Blunt is on making a row, so I just wondered what those bereaved families who were on before must have thought of this Marine Sergeant and his actions.
I do not care for his singing but that apart I doubt the appearance of one man (whatever actions you refer to ) detracted from a moving and well executed festival once again.
As usual, a moving ceremony. As well as less poppies there didn't appear to be the voluntary organisations plus the cadets of the regular forces and the Nursing Auxiliaries like they normally have in attendance.
I now see that the OP has managed to confuddle me totally and I thought the reference to 'actions' meant James Blunt.....apologies for misreading the post.
I cried when that little girl ran to meet her dad and gave him a big hug. She thought he was at sea for at least another three months. I think it made me emotional too because never been that close to my dad.
As a Christian myself it is always nice to see a Christian service at the end of this annual Festival of Remembrance, I do hope the PC brigade never influence this and stop it!
I saw a Sikh soldier there, he obviously didn't mind being at a Christian service, are they given a choice of attending if they belong to a different faith?
