Britains Got Talent. Golden Buzzer

Does anyone else agree that David Walliams was wrong to press the golden buzzer tonight? I felt it was unfair on the other acts that are clearly far more talented.

Yes, Walliams really annoyed me pressing that buzzer when other more talented acts didn't get buzzed. I think he really p*ssed Simon Cowell off on Saturday and methinks he won't be back on the judging panel next year! In my opinion, he goes too far.

i confess i can't watch the show, i have in the past, but its so awful,
the poor contestants won't get anywhere, many will make fools of themselves, and many will have their hearts broken, by being told they are wonderful, brilliant, marvellous, then promptly left high and dry, dreams of stardom dashed for good

I love him, i think he's funny. There's probably no need for the golden buzzer for those that are any good. They'll be voted through anyway. It's more to outvote the others.
It was Alesha who was me,me, me last night, i think. She must have pressed David's buzzer at least three times. I'm not surprised he rebelled :-)

Having being another not to have watched I can not say for sure what the answer to the OP question should be, save to make two points. First that it was his choice so who should say he was wrong ? And also the intelligent fellow takes the pay-cheque and plays along. If he causes controversy maybe that's intended. Seems to have got the hyped talent show discussed.
how many have appeared on these shows like BGT, Pop Idol over the years, how many fell by the wayside, one album released, then nothing, Cowell is a mercenary who exploits people, and the public's taste for the underdog. very few stay the course, and the hundreds of thousands who audition, they think they have something special, they don't, those who truly make it usually are the ones who have done their time, clubs, pubs, and have a degree of talent.
the reason Susan Boyle did well, was partly the shock value, of seeing this frumpy, dowdy woman sing well, and that one Hollywood celeb, stuck it on youtube, so her performance went global. I like her and she has a good voice, but so do many,
as to DW, don't like the camp act.

Just before he hit the gold buzzer I said to the wife "If they aren't careful, he'll hit the gold out of spite" as he was obviously getting very annoyed that Aleysha was (rightly or wrongly) hitting his button.
What really annoys me is why we have to see pictures of judges/audience faces instead of the act! We totally missed seeing the motorbike flip 'cos the producer is more interested in the judges faces...which just about sums the show up.
The magician was good though!
