Can Anyone Name This Tv Drama Series?

Broadcast within the last ten years; gritty, violent, gangland; mainly black cast; shown on BBC2, I think.

One scene I remember is a young man was working in a taxi office when he got badly beaten up by a gang of men. He was suspended from the ceiling fan which was turned on so he was going round and round.

Wasn't Top Boy on C4? The Wire was BBC2 with a mainly black cast.

Not The Wire. It's definitely a UK series but Top Boy is too recent.
