I think that if this affair didnt come to light, they may have carried on quite happily. he wanted his cake and eat it. Shame on him and her best friend.

I don't think lots of step parents matter ( I have had 3 step fathers in total- still speak to and spend time with all of them just have a very big Christmas card list), it's the quality of the people involved that matter and if they are nice people who care about the children irrespective of their relationship with their mother. I think actually far from being a failure she's something of a success in the relationship department because she's certainly not sticking with something she feels is no good for her and I'm sure if more women had her level of money they wouldn't either. In an event it's not my business what she does, I just wish her and her family well.

I agree with pusskins, to be friends with someone from the age of 15 and be betrayed by them like this must be like a kick in the gut. One thing I can say about her though is that she comes across as a very good mother. Her kids always come first.

It's very easy to make judgements about Katie Price because she has set her stall out as trash magazine fodder, a choice she totally accepts, and manipulates particularly well.

She will be far more aware than most that the jackals who keep her profile making her money will be waiting with slavering jaws for such an upset as this.

But Ms Price is an intelligent tough woman who has learned to live her life in the spotlight, and she will emerge from this and move on, as she always does.

I believe her public persona is like a suit she puts on for work, but i also believe that underneath she is very insecure and lonely, and she does need a special man to give her the love she craves.

It would appear she is still looking, and that's a shame for anyone, famous or not.

Roy, I can't understand how anyone would think that she would put herself through all this heartache, mocking and derision by the public and media just to get publicity.

For a while I admired her for her apparent commitment to her children. I have grown increasingly uncomfortable with her hasty marriages and equally hasty divorces.

I hope she takes some time to live without a man in her life and focus on her kids.

I concede that to be betrayed by such a long standing friend is low.
