It says that the epsiodes expire that I've downloaded does this mean I can't watch them beyond this date

They disappear off your planner when the date is up

Can you not record them to watch at your leisure ?

To be on the safe side buy a DVD recorder & some blank discs & all the movies or progs you wish to keep will be on discs & last forever.
