A great show with a diverse range of music, I loved Portugal's entry but to be honest I liked Sweden's better. We did really well a respectable finish.

A few years ago, a transvestite won....a most unconvincing one, as he had a full beard. In order to be accepted as a transvestite, I always think its wise to have a shave first.

For the record, when I heard this years winner earlier this morning, it sounded quite nice. I have no idea how it measured up against the competition as I don't watch this sort of thing.

But at least the Portuguese chap took it seriously.

Mikey, I usually agree with much of what you say on AB, but with regards to Conchita Wurst - the bearded lady - she wasn't trying to convince the world that she is a fully biological woman. She didn't need to have a shave. She looked womanly even with the beard.

The concept of a woman looking "womanly" with a full beard is something that doesn't compute with me !

I have a sister-in-law that has a moustache but its hardly flattering.

But would Wurst have won if he hadn't had a beard ?
