I think it smacks of the tv channels showing that they simply can't be bothered to sort out something different..
Where do I stand? Hopefully not on the broken glass that Bruce Willis’s bare feet walked on in that movie! I’ve never forgotten that!

Not strictly true. Most people have no idea about Pagan festivals. They associate Yuletide only with Christmas – and that’s what they celebrate.
As 'feel good' Christmas films go, I like "Love Actually".
