If you gave me a million pounds I couldn't tell you what was number one today but I can sing along to all the sixties hits! Even got up and danced round to some of them!

Me too.
Christmas 2019 Number one - sing up!

Guilty as charged
They wrote proper songs then.
Loved the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. It's been downhill all the way since then for me, but then I'm a sad, old person!!
The current number one is raising a lot of money for charity, so I've no problem with that. Plus I don't listen to top 40 radio anymore, so I don't really know what else is in the charts.

Anything 60s to 90s for me.

Apart from disco.
And rap? What poo!
And what is the difference between rap, grind, garage, drill, and all the other non singing garbage that is current?
Like any genre, whatever that actually means, there's stuff you like and stuff you don't. This is fantastic, IMO:

rap with a silent C
Hilarious! I bet you're a riot at parties...
Mamya - Really? Oh dear.
Yes, really - cheer up Theland .

Happy Christmas.x
Thank you Mamya. Continue to have a great day. X
What about the Rubber Bum song?
Real Christmassy.
The kid with the drum?
Every parents nightmare :-)
I saw Ladbaby on telly when they were named number 1. Lovely family.
Theland, Grime, Garage etc are just subgenres of Rap, just as Heavy Metal can be Grunge or Thrash, or Dance music can be Techno, House or Electronica. Lyrically, much rap is superb, but let's be honest, most modern music isn't being made with you or I in mind!

We are exactly like our parents were with the music we listened to as teens.
Mozz - Yes I agree with that.
