Don't answer just to Troll, if you hate Bond fine I don't want to know.
Some suggestions here ....

....but I've been impressed with Taron Egerton of late and I think he'd make a great Bond.

Only the parts that had German street names for a while, Mozz.
//Bond must be a white British man, end of.//

Bond would be. The actor might not though.

Being as Bond is, more specifically, a white Englishman, then Connery, Lazenby, Brosnan and Dalton should also have been unacceptable? (Don't worry, I'm stopping with the posts after this one)

Mozz: "Bond would be. The actor might not though. " - not many septics can sustain a proper English accent through a film.
and what TTT may I ask is a 'proper' English accent? At the last count there are approximately 37 different accents/dialects in the UK. :-)

What? Like Sean Connery could? ;o)
I completely understand where TTT is coming from with his stipulations, but that said, wouldn’t mind Elba. He’s a very charismatic actor and the actors who play bond need to bring charisma to the role.

Where I absolutely would draw the line is a woman.

Bond must be a man, this may upset the sisterhood, but the franchise just wouldn’t work, and given 10s of millions it takes to make a Bond film, the producers wouldn’t risk a flop.

I like Jodie Whittaker as an actor, but in Dr Who it just simply hasn’t worked.
totally agree with deskdiary. Bond should not be a woman and Jodie Whittaker is a total joke as Dr. Who -not because she's a woman, because she gets on my wick basically.

I have to agree, if they want a female spy franchise, create a new character. I guess the same could be said for a black actor I guess...

Agreed, but the really poor scripts aren't helping her.

This Idris Elba thing came from the Sony hack a few years ago. Amy Pascal, (chair of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s motion pictures group) was emailing Elizabeth Cantillon (former executive vice president of production for Columbia Pictures - which distributes the Bond franchise), and in that email she suggested Elba's name as a possible replacement for Daniel Craig.

Ever since the leak, some people have denounced the idea...even though it's extremely unlikely to happen.

Apart from the loss of revenue from those who would not accept a black Bond, there's also the issue of age.

Idris Elba is FAR too old to play Bond.

He's 47.
