Me too , more 60s/ 70s stuff , the team we had for a Music quiz was well balanced ,Steve was the heavy metal stuff, then there was me as above , Joan plucked an obscure one out of the air, Grahame was a one hit wonder man and Claire was the one for the naughtiest onwards, Mr B was for the 50s and trad jazz, we cleaned up most weeks back in the day :0)
Was the £1m won last night?
Not sure ILM, I gave up and went to bed, the woman with the big bandana got on my nerves with her prattling before answering , haha
It is a word that any quizzer would know but really nothing to do with teaching.
Thanks Bobbi.
margie //Was the £1m won last night?//
No
I didn't think it had because no-one on here had mentioned it, but I started watching it and there was quite an intelligent man on who was already up to six figures and I thought it might be him, but I nodded off and missed a big chunk of it!
That's the Glaswegian teacher ILM thats Tora IS talking about in his OP
I think TTT was talking about the woman who was on after the man, both English teachers I think. He won £125,000.
Arh right shedman, that's the woman who 'waffled' a lot and I began to lose interest ?
Why is my 'is' in capitals? Comes across as being rude and it's not meant to :0(
The English teacher should have been able to work out the funambulist question by ‘ambu’ in the word.
Yes was a bit of a bore really. Wouldn't want to listen to her for too long. Nearly drove me to sleep.
I thought the Glaswegian Teacher won £250,000 not £125,000. Was I not paying attention? And what is a Sagger etc? I JUST GOTTER KNOW!!
She clearly enjoyed her own voice shedman
Yes he did KUSTARD
A sagger ......
Is a one of these :0)

Yes I got it wrong Kustard. He was really good.
It’s one of those words I can never remember the meaning of.
However with the help of multiple choice, problem solved.
I’m inclined to agree with Tora
“ It is a word that any quizzer would know but really nothing to do with teaching.”

It’s a word to do with English tho, so I am surprised that as Clover suggests it could not be worked out from the Latin root. Depending what the other choices were of course
Thank you so much. If I see the Sagger thing advertised in the sits. vac. I will be able to apply for it now!!!!! I DID like the Glaswegian man best. Wish he'd won the million. Didn't like the woman and the one on now is boring.
