One of my favourite books ever. Has anyone watched it .... is anyone watching it ... and if so, how does it compare to the book? Worth watching?

But the latest version on Netflix is very disappointing. Even Kristin Scott-Thomas, whom I usually admire as an actress, was disappointing in her portrayal of Mrs Danvers. The whole thing was a total flop, in my opinion, and not worth the time it took to watch it.
Neither my wife or I have read the book but watched the film on Netflix. I was drawn to watching it as the review I read of it in,I think, The Mail on Sunday, stated that it was directed closer to the book than Larrie's version. I don't know as I haven't seen his film version of Rebecca either. I loved the story though and the twist at the end.
//The 2020 Rebecca is a more faithful adaptation, restoring a story point that Hitchcock changed due to the moralistic guidelines of Hollywood’s Hays Code, while downplaying the 1930s ***-shaming.
