I mean they only seem to have three subjects that they seem to find amusing, Trump, Boris and brexit. What are they going to do now, these right on comedians that infest the BBC and Channel 4? Perhaps they should try and broaden their appeal outside their London centric narrow virtue signalling view point and start actually making the rest of the country laugh.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Jethro.I have seen him a couple of times live and he had us laughing from the moment he came on stage. Also a very good singer. He may tell some stories which some may find a little crude(why would you be there though) but he never swears unlike Al Murray who could be funny but spoils it with his constant swearing.
what was funny then doesn't necessarily travel well today. I still love
It ain't half hot mum, but they won't show it, because a white actor blacked up, and that's deemed too much....
Every time i see Dara, apart from his comedy, he talks over people, like the lovely Brian Cox, he thinks its ok to be amusing! all the time.
Brian Cox is too girly to be lovely :-)
no he's not. He is a lovely fella, with a brain the size of the sky. Dara talks over him when they do shows together.
I think Dara is far too pushy, emmie. I’d rather listen to Brian Cox but so often he can’t get a word in edgeways.
which is what i said Naomi. I don't like Dara for that reason.
Dave is not owned by the BBC.
Never seen them together tbh. I was just referring to comedy shows.
I know that's what you said, emmie. I read what you said and agreed with you.
On radio, I'm Sorry I Haven't Clue is still the best.

On TV I really like Frankie Boyle lately ... his New World Order had me in stitches, especially his closing monologues.
LB, ta for your 10;45 link. Omid Djalali is a very funny man who we don't see enough of on our tv screens.

The "dogging" monologue was the funniest thing I've heard on TV in years, but way too NSFW to repost on here.

I like the more surreal comedy out there, probably to do with growing up with The Goons. Vic and Bob, Eddie Izzard, Emo Phillips,The Mighty Boosh and the like.
LOL @ ich. That's funny.
i remember listening to Eddie Izzard on a radio programme some years ago, it was hilarious, but i couldn't to this day tell you why...
can't watch Frankie Boyle, reminds me of the bad old days when it was ok to take the mickey out of someone in the public eye, those who couldn't hit back, perhaps he has got better>
Vic and Bob owe a lot to the Marx Brothers i feel, as do Monty Pythons who i never understood....
sorry Naomi, crossed wires
peter kaye is my favourite ,his misheard lyrics is hysterical i also really liked kenny everett .at the moment i'm watching taskmaster there are some really funny moments on it x
^^^^^love bob mortimer but can't stand vic reeves humour
