Gregg Wallace and the Hairy Bikers have combined to put me off any cookery programmes.
Just chatty and have pushed themselves forward as far as I can make out. Doubt the real talent.
I don't like Gordon Ramsey's manners but when he does cook his food is good.
Angela Hartnett is one of the very best as was Carluccio. Also worth admiration are Michel Roux Jnr, Raymond Blanc and Locatelli among others.
I can take or leave most of the chefs or chef type people but I do like seeing the food they make.
I don’t like Nigellas posturing but I always watch her cookery programmes.
I think the only one I don’t enjoy watching is anything from Jamie Oliver, although I have a couple of his books.
Thanks Pasta. I might. I know a lot of young chefs are really excellent and what is happening to the cafe/restaurant/bistro business is quite horrifying.
I love Gordon. He's very harsh but he's also very soft.
Nigella is just for show. She can't even chop herbs with a normal knife. She's just a rich person who picked an expensive hobby. If it wasn't for her dad and her looks she would have a show.
Used to love Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage series. Never measured the ingredients; it was a pinch, a handful or a good dollop, and all locally sourced. Gave me confidence when i was trying his menus.
