OK, maybe we are weird, but it is the major channel we watch. We also have a weird T.V. in that the people who set it up when we bought it on our return from France, seemed to tune to odd channels. E.g..BBC 1 is 56, ITV is 88, but we've got used to it.

BBC 4 was 35. Suddenly, not tonight it isn't! It's something called Diamond TV which isn't broadcasting anything.

I know that long term the Beeb were stopping BBC4, which is a massive blow, but not yet and the listings are in the papers. I've been watching the Simon Scharma re-runs and was really looking forward to it tonight.

We've looked through all the listings on our TV - twice - and no BBC4 is there.

Can anyone tell me if it is still around and what we need to do to find it again, please?

TTT 108 pressed - it gives us 5 Star!
You are posting on here, so you have the internet.
If you have the internet, then you can stream stuff if you know how to.
Presuming your TV isn’t an antique, then you can stream things on catchup, or live via an app which you should be able to download.
I feel certain that your problem can be easily resolved if you can find someone who understands digital technology.

Thanks Gromit. It's only 8 yrs. old, new when we came back from France.
We did manage to find a little blue button with a house on it and pressed that - I've just emerged from a panic-inducing 10 mins. with it as we didn't understand any of the icons and I was terrified that I'd never get the picture back.
We'll have to get someone in, now I know that BBC 4 is still there.
Thanks all.
Unfortunately, these days, a TV that is "only" eight years old is regarded as ancient!
Is it Freesat (dish) or Freeview (aerial)?

If its Freeview, you might be in range of 2 transmitters, and thus getting signals from both.
Do you know someone who owns a teenager?

Hoppy - that's my preferred approach. I'll put something on our village facebook page. :)
