What is your favourite moment from 'The Simpsons' - the greatest TV programme of the last ten years? Watching an episode the other day, Principal Skinner said in an arguement with Stephen Hawking, ' I don't like the tone of your voice!'. Absolute genius!!!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.god, there are so many, where do you start? homer taking flanders to vegas and getting them both hitched to a couple of gold-diggers was pretty good. Also liked the "Cape Fear" episode when Homer couldn't remember his new identity and walked around with a Witness Protection Programme t-shirt. That made me laugh
Incidentally simon_says, your comment that The Simpsons is the greatest TV programme of the last ten years is the first thing you have ever said on this site that I find myself agreeing with.
Mine's a bit on the soppy side, but it was the episode in which Marge goes away for a weekend, and Maggie's standing in her cot, really missing her mum. She looks out of the window and gets all excited as she's just got a glimpse of Marges hair. Maggie makes it outside and hurries into the garden only to find it was a tall bush. Funny but touching!
I like the one where Homer's lying lazily on the couch with beer & popcorn, & says, "Aah, I love these lazy Saturdays!" Then Marge comes in and says, "It's Wednesday, Homer!" Homer jumps up and screams. A few days later, Homer's lying on the couch again and says, "I love these REAL lazy Saturdays! Not like that fake one that almost got me fired!!!" It's simple, but I like it!
A moment I found totally hilarious came in 'Alone Again Natura-Diddily' - the one where Maude dies. Homer took Ned to a video dating shop. Comic Book Guy was delviing in the one-night-stand bin and selected many many tapes 'Are you gonna call all those women?' asked the shop owner.
'No,' replied C.B.G 'The tapes will be enough.'
It's not episode specific, but I always enjoy Homer's drool over foodd. My favourite is probably in 'Homer: Badman' when he peels a Gummi Venus di Milo from the babysitter's jeans bottom.

Moe hooked onto a Lie Detector -
"So, no... I didnt shoot Mr. Burns (lie detector goes PING!)
"now I have to get back, I have a hot date tonight" (lie detector ERROR
"uhh.. odd date" (ERROR)
"dinner with friends" (ERROR)
"dinner alone" (ERROR
"watching tv alone" (ERROR
"OK! OK! I'm gonna spend the night oggling at girls in the Victoria's Secret Catalogue" (ERROR)
".....Sears Catalogue" (PING!)
There are too many to choose from, but there goes... in the episode"Bart Gets An Elephant" Homer falls into a tar pit and says "...it's no problem, I'm sure I can struggle my way out! I'll just pull my legs out with my arms, and my arms out with my face..." before totally submerging himself. That is one in a potential list of thousands though!

Hi everybody! You may remember me from previous questions such as Am i the biggest flirt on the internet? anyway howabout the episode where homer and flanders become best friends and they go to the gridiron game together and homer starts singing "I'm a Nacho, nacho man" to the old sinitta song. made me laugh.
Where the comic store guy is reading a comic while walking down the street and running over the options of how Aqua man and some superhero woman could have kids, when a nuclear missile is seen coming towards him down the street, he looks up and says "Oh my god, I've wasted my entire life" or something to that effect.
