Horror Films ?

okay, I heard that people who star in horror films usually weird, creepy stuff happen to them after making the movie...?
Like their jynxed or something.



I also heard that the girl who stared in the exorcist, linda blair, died in a car crash a yar after making the movie.
but i looked it up and she didn't.


Someone help me?
it's one of those questions that is going to bug me until i know!

The little girl from Poltergheist died young. Several stars of Superman have met tragic circumstances.

Whilst there are seemingly a lot of unfortunate accidents/deaths amongst the cast/crew of certain horror films; it's just either coincidence that seems spooky because it's a horror film (I'm sure you could find "cursed" films in any genre) or it's been talked up to generate publicity.

It's easy to take the simple coincidences that occur to a number of people involved in any aspect of entertainment, and use it to spice up the hype / legend a little more.

Led Zepelin have always had the accidents and tragedies (Robert Plant had a near-fatal car accident, and his five-year-old son died of a virus, drummer John Bonham choked on vomit after a drinking bout) in their lives ascribed to Jimmy Page's interest in the occut - he once owned renowned atanist Alatair Crowley's house on the shores of Loch Ness - but it is just hype - lit always is.

I heard that there were a lot of accidents linked to the Amytiville Horror, and Poltergeist and it does seem strange, but I think these stories are blown out of proportion for publicity sometimes. I can remember being young and hearing that there was a curse on anyone linked with Poltergeist, and was convinced that because I had watched it on video, that l would be cursed!! (obviously very silly!) I'm torn really. I don't think I'd want to mess around with the paranormal just in case, and although I don't really think all of the stories of jinxed movies are real, I do think you shouldn't meddle with some things!! There's loads of info on the internet, so just have a browse and make your own mind up.

Linda Blair def didn't die as a child, as I've seen her as an adult.
