Has anyone been watching Ben Fogles Extreme Dreams on BB2 at 6.30. The expiditions look so dangerous, I dont see how they can take such unfit , inexperienced, amateurs, treking through jungles, deserts, climbing mountains etc. I know they have experienced back up, but some days it seems some of the people chosen to follow him have even been seriously ill because of the conditions.
Do you think it really is that bad, or is it edited to look that way.

The key is the editing. What you don't see is the back-up team.

There is no way the BBC is going to risk "losing" one of the participants. They learnt a serious lesson many years ago when a "competitor" was killed in an accident during rehearsals:

I do remember that accident at the time it happened.
Ive been watching todays episode of crossing the desert in Libia.
If I spent even a couple of hours walking in that heat I would now be seriously ill, so I still dont know how they do it.
Unless of course they ride on the camels off camera.
