What is the funniest film you ever seen? Mine is Planes, Trains and Automobiles starring John Candy and Steve Martin. I know it is sad but I want to find out about funny films.

Mine is another one with john candy - The great outdoors... just to hear him say "big bear, big bear!" ha ha
When I was a student, you used to get in the local ABC on a Wednesday afternoon for half price. Thus, my mate Tim and I, and one other bloke, had the whole cinema to ourselves whilst we peed ourselves at 'The Blues Brothers'. Not only a hysterical film, but great music too!
Kicking and Screaming Brilliant comedy about new college graduates trying to answer the question: "What now?"
So I married an axe murderer - Mike Myers is a genius
Airplane or The Man With 2 Brains/The Jerk. Laughed my arse off at 'Titanic' too but possibly that's peculiar to my sense of humour!
Dumb and Dumber definitely! Seen it a hundred times but it makes my sides hurt everytime!
Theres something about Mary - so many classic scenes - awesome film
Some Like it Hot - not only the funniest film but the best ever. And it's black + white and over firty years old!
I mean forty (obviously).
Airplane
Mine would be either BASEketball or Super Troopers.
I love Me, Myself and Irene, Big Lebowski (John Goodman and John Turturro are fab), Man with Two Brains, LA Story, Parenthood (so many good bits), Ace Ventura films, Meet The Parents, Get Shorty, The Hudsucker Proxy ("You know, for kids"), Blues Brothers, There's Something About Mary... Sure there's loads more....
Uncle Buck too.

i suppose it depends on taste black comedy has to be catch 22 pure silly has to be life of brian plane tranes i love especially steve martin at airport "wipe that rosy f/*ing smile off your rosy f;/%ing cheeks" blues brothers a classic
Airplane, Men in Black two, and my favorite, The full monty, the only film i have ever seen that actually got a round of applause from a cinema audience!
Les Diner des Cons (The dinner of idiots), a French film about some well to do people finding idiots in public places and inviting them all to a dinner at the same time. I think it's been made into a stage play in English. This was shown with English subtitles on Channel 4 last year. I highly recommend it. Brilliantly written.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - Steve Martin/Michael Caine are conmen on the French Riviera, who get conned themselves, just hilarious
blazing saddles
Its gotta be Super Troopers - know all the lines and it still makes me laugh out loud!
