Well being a taurean I'd be interested Kit! That's sad, I've seen their plight before & it's good that people are trying to help ...unfortunately we can't save the world, I wish we could... <sigh>
I used to be frightened of horses until I took the time to watch some horse whisperers on tv (not the film) and to understand them. One of my cousins has about 5 I believe, I wish I could ride but I don't think my back would stand it!
Funny this 'cos for some unknown reason this morning I was thinking I hadn't seen a shire horse for years...maybe it was all the poo that being flung around yesterday....hahaha

I like horses ,not so keen on cows though after being chased across the dykes by one when I was on my bicycle although they have lovely faces I'm a bit wary of them .
I usually get some nice cards from Redwings which is not far from me .

there's a lovely chalk horse that has appeared on a hill between Eastbourne and Brighton at a place call HighandOver - yes! but unfortunately one has to be a local yokel to know where it it. There is a tantalising glimpse of it from the bus but one blink and you've missed it. I missed it!!
