I know it's only fictitious, but the script writers are just so ignorant of how schools are run, what you can and can't do, LEA'S, etc. The whole thing is getting to me now!!! I watch it and am driving Mr LL nutty complaining about all the mistakes whilst I am supposedly enjoying watching it.
I used to quite like it. It is totally ridiculous now!
Anyone agree?

Good morning bearded wonders..here I is...oh, it's your OH's who are bearded. Not keen on them myself, I like smooth or designer stubble at most. And I wish men would shave their armpits, I hate hairy armpits <shudder>.
Neti, the Grumpy schooldays was hilarious, a real tonic...'PE was ritual humiliation' ...hahaha.
Yes thanks Kit, I think my pants do need to go up a size actually...how come weight gain never occurs in the right places?
Chin up shaney, the weight loss can seem pretty scary, they think it's partly malabsorbtion & the cancer giving off chemicals that speed up your metabolism. Thinking about you both.
Well as if I haven't felt bad enough for the past couple of days I arrive back to find a multi coloured vitreous detachment happening on the Google homepage & a pair of bloomin' dancing ads either side of the pages on here. Think it's a virus coupled with the lousy stinking change of weather, I was doing much better in the warmth. Je suis désolé.

Mornin all. The only weird email I get is from HSBC telling me something about my account and asking for details, which I would never answer, but the 'interesting' fact is I've never had an account with them. Ha Ha!!
My car was ready to collect last night instead of today so I grabbed a taxi and nipped up to fetch it. On the way home I heard this beeping which sounded like my car does sometimes to warn me of something. Anyway I thought it couldn't be that because it had just been sorted so I stopped and had a search and discovered this phone on the floor. So back I went and it was my mechanic's Dads. Apparently he has 2 and had lost them both yesterday.
Not going to Tai Chi as I thought I wouldn't have transport and it's too late to alter arrangements so I'm off to meet my lunch biddies at 12. I fancy chips today, haven't had then for a few weeks so I'm going to treat myself with scampi I think.
Sorry Kit but you've lost me about that site you advised with regard to accents. Going to have another read but I don't hold out much hope of me understanding it.
Watched UC last night Shaney but didn't count my score.
I've decided my kitchen needs decorating so, Kit, the squared white wallpaper my be going soon. Shame really cos I like it but it looks a bit grubby now. Not much to do really 1 full wall, the ceiling and a bit of woodwork. My decorator will do it in a day well maybe 2 knowing him. He's very thorough!
Have a good day all, it rained nearly all last night but hasn't started today.....yet.

Done my best for Salla on the Norfolk hotels thread jno.
As for hard walls and DIY. Our house is predominantly made from 15 inch thick walls of flints, rubble, bits of brick and lots of old lime mortar. Knock a nail in and you can bet you hit a flint or a hole in the rubble. Not good when trying to put up shelving as you can imagine!!
I am shortly off to Lidls and Morrisons with a call in to the animal supplies place, and perhaps a trip to the garden centre. Exciting!!

Snap lottie, my walls are similar, hammer bounces back if you hit some rock!
Mr N has more designer stubble than full beard, well that's when he gets round to trimming it!
yes Kit, still have superglue on 2 fingernails, and I remember that hair dye on my hands, they swelled up and it was so painful.
Just spoken to my bro from Oz who is now in England awaiting family reunion, he sounds like an ozzy but apparently the ozzies think he sound British. Watch out for your son's accent Robi!!

Robinia, apparently the Google logo isn't for anything, just to annoy...

True, Jude, losign 2 dads in one day would be a bit careless (especially if you found one of them lying on your floor beeping).

Did I tell you about the chap who does our decorating? He is dreadful for leaving his glasses and mobile all over the place. He told us he tiled one mobile phone into a shower....stood it in the recess where the plumbing behind the mixer goes while he was working and tiled right over it...so he left it there!
...and it kept on ringing for years and years... spooky... Afternoon possums. My Google doesn't have any cojones either, how unfair!
I lost you on the glyph article, well I lost myself on that one Jude. What I was referring to was you had said how you had to put codes in just to get an accent over a letter and I was thinking you could copy and paste, but you can't, of course, not from that article, as the glyphs generally go over a letter and not between letters. Sorry I confused you, didn't notice, I was busy confusing myself;-) The other tip however should work? Finding the whole word and copying and pasting that, instead of writing it on your keyboard.
