I used to look forward to Xmas morning when they used to be shown before Lunch.
Keystone Cops, Ben Turpin, Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin etc.
Never see them any more on TV.

i used to love all the short harold lloyd and charile chaplin films that were on bbc2 after school - along with the tarzan films - but i can't say i'd sit and watch anything else.

i love them beautifully shot and compleatley tell a story lilian gish being one of my fav actress in the film the wind superb !!!!!!

marlene detrich in the blue angel was good daft as it sounds cant remeber if that was silent or one of the first talking films doh !!!!

HMV do keep certain DVD Films in stock and are available to order either on line or from the Store itself. There are other Companies that supply these Films but an Internet search would be necessary in order to find UK suppliers.

yes. Was that the one where she sang Falling in Love Again? Depends whether she sang it out loud or silently I suppose.

I've got dozens on DVD but there are lots more like The Wind that have not been released.
