Hollyoaks update

I haven't been watching Hollyoaks for a while and turned it on today to see it was Dan's funeral.  How did he die?

I havent seen hollyoaks since before xmas, i think he died in a rally crash on xmas eve.....i really wanted him to get back with debbie as well!!!!

He was in a rally driving race on christmas eve.  His car spun off / crashed but as it came to a standstill, he hauled himself out of the window and waved to the crowd to show he was ok.  It then exploded, killing him instantly...

oh i haven't really watched it in a good while but maybe she has already i don't know but debbie is supposed to find the ring he was going to give her while she's clearing out all of his things etc!

Thanks for the update.  Guess that ends a pretty bad year for Dan.  Anyone know if the guy who plays him is going to any other acting work?  (Must say he probably wasn't the best).
