you can revert back to your name if you want. but if not, it will automatically stay the same.

I kept my married name when I got divorced, cos I didn't want my daughter to go through all that 'poor wee soul' thing when folk knew we had different names.

Women tend to keep their married names if their ex-husbands are more famous than them which is why you have the likes of Heather Mills-McCartney but not Katie Price-Andre. Not sure which way Cheryl will go but I doubt she is divorced yet.
