The gypsies at my local market are all slim and pretty too. Some of them are quite stunning in a strange but rough kind of way. They dress like archetypal gypsies. Lots of fake tan, short ra ra skirts, big gold earrings etc. They all look the same though (dark hair, blue eyes and freckles) which makes me think as their community is quite small, they must be interbred to some extent.

Just been thinking of family values again. Their family 'values' are to protect the family. They stick together against others - much the same as the families with doubtful characters in inner cities stick together. (Think of the Krays) It's not about morals in my opinion. I am all for family values but not at the expense of the wider community. Their morals do not extend outside their family - e.g. beautifully kept and clean vans and spread your rubbish all over the place in the community!!

I have also met quite a few travelers and gypsies in my life and they have proved to be no better or worse than other people from 'normal' families.

I do so hate shopping in Blackpool and being accosted by the Irish traveler women trying to sell me heather and lucky beads though, when you try to politely refuse to buy they usually curse your family and get quite nasty towards you.

P.S. Agree with Lottie & whoever else has had to deal with these scumbag pests! I've been to court twice to get them removed from our firm's large car parks. They broke in (each time over a weekend), tapped into our water supply, cr@pped everywhere & p1ssed up against our brick walls, etc. It took a company a whole day to clear up & steam clean the filth they left behind! They're disgusting people 'outside' their caravans - our CCTV cameras proved that!

Looking like cheap slappers and actually being cheap slappers are two different things.

They get their money from dodgy deals. I know some plumbers round here use them to get rid of their rubbish...which is then dumped at the roadside.

They are dangerous as a general rule...especially the women. God forbid you speak to one of their men..!!
